Deferred Financing and Offering Costs
Deferred financing and offering costs consist of costs incurred to obtain financing, including lender fees and legal fees. Costs associated with our revolving line of credit are deferred and amortized using the straight-line method, which approximates the effective interest method, over the term of the revolving line of credit. Related Party Fees

receive fees for services other than managerial assistance. Such services may include, but are not limited to:include: (i) assistance obtaining, sourcing or structuring credit facilities, long termlong-term loans or additional equity from unaffiliated third parties; (ii) negotiating important contractual financial relationships; (iii) consulting services regarding restructuring of the portfolio company and financial modeling as it relates to raising additional debt and equity capital from unaffiliated third parties; and (iv) taking a primary role in interviewing, vetting and negotiating employment contracts with candidates in connection with adding and retaining key portfolio company management team members. Loan Servicing Fee
The Adviser also services the loans held by Business Loan (the borrower under the Credit Facility), in return for which the Adviser receives a 1.5% annual fee payable monthly based on the aggregate outstanding balance of loans pledged under our Credit Facility. Generally, the level of interest income from investments is directly related to an increase in the weighted average yield on and an increase inprincipal balance of our interest-bearing investment portfolio outstanding during the period multiplied by the weighted-average yield. The recently enacted legislation informally titled the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and other legislative, regulatory and administrative developments may adversely affect the Company or its stockholders.
On December 22, 2017, President Trump signed into law P.L.115-97, informally titled the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (the “Tax Act”). The Tax Act makes major changes to the Code, including a number of provisions of the Code that affect the taxation of RICs and their stockholders. Certain provisions of the Tax Act that may impact us and our stockholders include:
