On May 13, 2011, China Integrated Energy, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Audit Committee of the Company's Board of Directors has retained the law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP, who will act as special counsel to the Company's Audit Committee with regard to the Audit Committee's independent investigation into various issues raised by certain individuals.
A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report and is incorporated herein by reference.
