Item 8.01. Other Events.
As previously reported by Whitney Information Network, Inc. (the “Company”), Russell A. Whitney, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, notified the Board of Directors on March 5, 2008 that he would be taking a 45-day medical leave of absence, effective immediately. On April 22, 2008, Mr. Whitney notified John Kane, Interim President and a director of the Company, that he would need to extend his medical leave of absence for an additional 60-day period, effective immediately. Mr. Kane will continue to serve as acting Chairman of the Board of Directors during Mr. Whitney’s absence.
