Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officer; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
Appointment of Chief Operating Officer. On May 7, 2009, the Board of Directors appointed Todd Welstad, 40, as Chief Operating Officer, effective May 11, 2009. Mr. Welstad has been Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and a director of the company since November 2005. He will continue in those capacities in addition to his duties as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Welstad served as Chief Information Officer of Labor Ready, Inc. from August 1993 through 2001. Before joining Command Center, Mr. Welstad worked in the temporary labor industry as an owner/operator of Awesome Possum, LLC. From 2003 through November 2005 was general manager of Command Staffing, LLC, the franchise company that was acquired by Command Center in November 2005. Todd Welstad is the son of Glenn Welstad, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
