Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On January 4, 2006, WorldSpace, Inc. (the “Company”) received authorization from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission for its satellite operating subsidiary, AfriSpace, to launch and operate the AfriStar-2 satellite. The Company issued a press release on January 4, 2006 which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
