Explanatory Note

This Amendment No. 1 (this “Amendment”) on Form 8-K/A amends the Current Report on Form 8-K filed by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (the “Bank”) with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 30, 2009 (the “Original Filing”). The purpose of this Amendment is to provide updated presentation materials.

Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

The Bank is holding a series of member meetings on June 30^th, July 1^st, 7^th, 9^th, 22^nd and August 5^th, 6^th, and 13^th, 2009. The member presentation materials for the June 30^th, July 1^st, 7^th, 9^th and 22^nd meetings are attached to the Original Filing, and the updated presentation materials for the August 5^th, 6^th and 13^th meetings are attached to this Amendment as Exhibit 99.1.
