Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A (“Company” or “Eletrobras”) (B3: ELET3, ELET5 & ELET6; NYSE: EBR & EBR.B; LATIBEX: XELT.O & XELT.B) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in generalthat the National Electric Energy Agency - ANEEL, within the scope of ANEEL Public Hearing No. 003/2019, which was open between 01/23/2019 and 04/12/2019 with a view to improving Normative Resolution No. 596 - REN No. 596/2013, of December 19, 2013, which established the criteria and calculation procedures for indemnification of investments in non-amortized or non-depreciated reversible assets of concessions extended or not, pursuant to Law No. 12,783/2013, decided at its 25th Meeting 2021 Ordinary Public Notice, held on 07/13/2021, amend the text of said REN 596/2013.
In this sense, the hydroelectric power plants of the subsidiaries included in the analysis for receiving additional indemnity are:
· | From the São Francisco S/A Hydroelectric Company – CHESF: Xingó, Paulo Afonso I, II, III and IV, Apolônio Sales (Moxotó), Luiz Gonzaga (Itaparica), Boa Esperança, Pedra and Funil, with total installed power of 9,208.5 MW. |
· | From Furnas Centrais Elétricas S/A: Corumbá, Funil, Furnas, Luiz Carlos de Barreto de Carvalho, Marimbondo and Porto Colombia, with total installed power of 4,617 MW. |
· | From Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil S/A – Eletronorte: Coaracy Nunes, with an installed capacity of 78 MW. |
The Company clarifies that the amounts previously disclosed through the Market Announcements December 11, 2014 and October 2, 2015, based on supporting documentation prepared by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Consultores Ltda, in the case of hydroelectric power plants belonging to Furnas and Chesf, and by Eletronorte itself, in the case of the Coaracy Nunes hydroelectric plant, should be recalculated in light of the new conditions established by the revision of Normative Resolution 596/2013, amended by Normative Resolution 942/2021, of July 13, 2021.
Thus, the process of supporting documentary evaluation begins, to be carried out by ANEEL, for the approval of the effective values of the generation indemnities.
