ITEM 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On November 2, 2021 Ovintiv Inc. (the “Corporation”) issued a news release announcing its financial and operating results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2021. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

ITEM 8.01 Other Events.
Quarterly Dividend
In its November 2, 2021 news release, the Corporation also announced that its Board of Directors had declared a quarterly dividend of $0.14 per share on the Corporation’s outstanding common stock. The dividend is payable on December 31, 2021 to holders of record at the close of business on December 15, 2021. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
