On November 4, 2003, Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that shareholders approved the reclassification of its Class A and Class B Common Shares into a single class of stock. As a result of the share reclassification, effective November 5, 2003, the Company began trading under the new ticker symbol “JAS” on the New York Stock Exchange. A copy of the press release announcing the shareholder approval is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
