On March 15, 2006, Metretek Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that PowerSecure, Inc., a Delaware corporation and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, is supplying Publix Super Markets, a supermarket chain, with interactive distributed generation (IDG®) systems as part of a business recovery plan. . A copy of the Company’s press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by this reference.
