concerning U.S. retail sales of Ford vehicles in March 2001, filed as Exhibit
99.1 to this report, is incorporated by reference herein. Ford's North American
Production and Overseas Sales schedule dated April 3, 2001, filed as Exhibit
99.2 to this report, is incorporated by reference herein.
As shown in Ford's North American Production and Overseas Sales schedule
dated April 3, 2001, total North American production for the second quarter of
2001 is planned at 1,230,000 units, which is down by 20,000 units from last
month's planned second quarter North American production. The decline is
primarily the result of eliminating, in April 2001, one of three shifts at
Ford's Michigan Truck Plant at which Ford's Ford Expedition and Lincoln
Navigator models are produced.
