NORDSTROM NOVEMBER SAME-STORE SALES INCREASE 2.8 PERCENT
    SEATTLE - December 1, 2005 - Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) today reported
preliminary sales of $706.5 million for the four-week period ending November
26, 2005, an increase of 5.8 percent compared to sales of $667.6 million for
the four-week period ending November 27, 2004.  Same-store sales increased 2.8
percent (1).
    Preliminary year-to-date sales of $6.1 billion increased 7.6 percent
compared to sales of $5.7 billion in 2004.  Year-to-date same-store sales
increased 5.7 percent.
    On November 11th Nordstrom opened its 98th full-line store in Dallas,
Texas at NorthPark Center.
