Ken Globus, President of United-Guardian, stated, "As a result of the very profitable year we had in 2005, as well as the expectation that this year will be strong as well, the Board of Directors has decided that the issuance of a special dividend comparable to those issued in each of the last two years is once again appropriate. We are confident that our ongoing R&D efforts, along with our continuing efforts to expand the marketing of our products, will enable us to continue to increase our sales, and that our cash reserves will continue to be more than adequate to fund any capital expenditures that will be needed in the near future."
