At Commerce Group Corp.'s Quarterly Board of Directors' Meeting held on
August 20, 2008, Sylvia Machulak and Robert C. Skeen were appointed as
Class I Directors to fill the two Director vacancies. They will be up
for election at Commerce Group Corp.'s next annual shareholders' meeting
with terms to expire in 2011.
