(NYSE: STN) today announced it has commenced the solicitation of consents from holders of record as of July 19, 2000 of the Company's 8-7/8 percent senior subordinated notes due 2008, 9 3/4 percent senior subordinated notes due 2007 and 10-1/8 percent senior subordinated notes due 2006. The Company is seeking certain amendments to the indentures governing such notes. The solicitation of consents is being made upon the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the consent solicitation statement, consent forms and related materials which are being mailed to holders as of the record date. The Company will pay consenting holders $2.50 in cash for each $1,000 principal amount of the notes if the proposed amendments become operative.
