On May 12, 2008, New England Bancshares, Inc., the holding company for
Enfield Federal Savings and Loan Association and Valley Bank, announced the
initiation of a stock repurchase program and the declaration of a cash dividend.
The press release announcing the initiation of a stock repurchase program and
the declaration of the cash dividend is included as Exhibit 99.1 and
incorporated herein by reference.
