Under the terms of the Torchmark Corporation 1998 Stock Incentive Plan, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Torchmark has awarded current and former officers, key employees and consultants of Torchmark and its subsidiaries non-qualified stock options to purchase shares of Torchmark common stock at various exercise prices equal to the closing price of the stock on the New York Stock Exchange on the respective option grant dates.
