Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On October 23, 2009, Hometown Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press
release regarding its results of operations and financial condition at September
30, 2009 and for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2009. The text of
the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report. The information
included in the press release text is considered to be "furnished" under the
Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
Item 8.01 Other Events

On October 22, 2009, the Board of Directors of the Company declared a cash
dividend on the Company's common stock of $0.02 per share. The dividend will be
payable to stockholders of record as of November 5, 2009 and is expected to be
paid on November 20, 2009. Hometown Bancorp MHC, which holds 1,309,275 shares or
approximately 56.3% of the Company's total outstanding stock, will waive receipt
of the dividend on its shares.
