The following information was filed by CEZ, a. s. in Czech language with the
Prague Stock Exchange as required by its rules and regulations:
RESOLUTION OF THE EUROPEAN COURT OF JUSTICE
On June 6, 2006, CEZ, a. s. received a resolution of the European Court of
Justice through its counsel in respect of a preliminary question related to the
jurisdiction of the Austrian courts in an action by Upper Austria against CEZ,
a. s. to impose a duty to rectify the effects of ionizing radiation resulting
from the operation of the Temelin nuclear power plant.
The European Court of Justice has come to the conclusion that the Austrian
courts have no jurisdiction in the given matter.
