ANNOUNCES PRICING OF $250 MILLION IN CONVERTIBLE SUBORDINATED NOTES CAMBRIDGE, MA, JUNE 15, 2000 -- Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM) today announced the pricing of its private placement of $250 million 5.50% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2007. The notes will be issued at 100% of the principal amount. The offering is expected to close on June 20, 2000. The offering is being made to qualified institutional buyers. The notes, due July 1, 2007, are convertible into shares of Akamai common stock at any time at a conversion price of $115.47. The convertible notes accrue interest that will be payable semiannually. Akamai has granted the initial purchasers of the convertible notes an option to purchase up to an additional $50 million principal amount of notes to cover over-allotments, if any.
