In December 1999, our shareholders approved the change in our company's name from "IAT Resources Corporation" to "NetCurrents, Inc." OUR OTHER SERVICES AND PRODUCTS In addition, as part of our expansion into Internet technology development and integration, we have identified and made small investments in early and expansion stage companies which we believe have unique Internet-based hardware and/or software applications and which show promise as catalysts in the Internet and online commerce industries. For example, in early 1999, we purchased 150,000 shares of common stock of flowersandgifts.com, and 100,000 shares of common stock of Pacific Softworks, Inc., a licensor of Internet-related software and related software development tools, which completed an initial public offering in June, 1999.
