(Nasdaq: NWRE) reported today that a complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on March 11, 1998. The Complaint asserts claims against the Company, its Chairman and its former CFO, who are named as defendants in the suit, under the federal securities laws and for common law fraud, arising from alleged misrepresentations by the Company and the two individuals. The suit was filed as a class action on behalf of purchasers of the Company's common stock during the period from June 15, 1996 through August 15, 1997. The Company's President and CEO, Edward C.
