ITEM 9. REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On January 24, 2001, Pioneer Natural Resources Company issued a press
release reporting the Company's proved oil and gas reserves as of December 31,
2000; and, for the year then ended, the Company's reserve replacement
percentage, finding costs per equivalent barrel of added reserves and costs
incurred for oil and gas producing activities. The press release is attached
hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
