On April 7, 2005, Pier 1 Imports, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press
release announcing the Company's earnings for the fourth quarter and
year ended February 26, 2005. The press release contains certain
non-GAAP financial information. The reconciliation of such non-GAAP
financial information to GAAP financial measures is included in the
press release. A copy of this press release is attached hereto as
Exhibit 99.1.
