Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will continue to use Printronix technology for its line matrix and thermal bar code printers. In addition, IBM has expanded the agreement by adding Printronix's worldwide leading radio frequency identification (RFID) encoding technology to its product portfolio. IBM introduced the Infoprint 6700 on June 14th at the IDC RFID Update conference in Boston.
