Item 7.01.      Regulation FD Disclosure.

On September 22, 2005, Worthington Industries, Inc. (the "Registrant") issued a
news release in which Dietrich Metal Framing, a Worthington Industries company
announced that it is introducing to the North American market, Dietrich
UltraSTEEL(TM) metal framing products using patented technology of Hadley
Industries PLC. A licensing agreement grants Dietrich Metal Framing the
exclusive rights to manufacture and sell metal framing using the UltraSTEEL(TM)
technology in North America. A copy of the news release (the "Release") is
furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
