On September 28, 2007, Atlantic Coast Federal Corporation announced that
its Board of Directors has voted to increase the quarterly cash dividend rate
from $0.14 per common share to $0.15 per common share. The dividend is payable
on October 29, 2007, to all stockholders of record as of October 12, 2007. The
