(Nasdaq: ANSS) and Fluent Inc. today announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, with respect to ANSYS' pending acquisition of Fluent expired at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, April 26, 2006. ANSYS expects to close the acquisition by no later than May 1, 2006.
