- Oil, natural gas and NGL sales — Oil, natural gas and NGL sales, excluding the effects of cash settlements on our commodity derivative contracts, were $870 million for the three months ended September 30, 2024, which is an increase of $458 million compared to $412 million for the three months ended June 30, 2024. This increase includes $475 million of oil, natural gas and NGL sales related to additional production from the Aera fields following the completion of the Aera Merger on July 1, 2024. The effect of cash settlements on our commodity derivative contracts are excluded from the table below. The table below includes sales of natural gas we produce which is used by our Elk Hills power plant.
