Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On January 27, 2021, RPC, Inc. issued a press release titled "RPC, Inc. Reports Fourth Quarter 2020 Financial Results," announcing the financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020.
Item 2.05 Costs Associated With Exit or Disposal Activities.
During the fourth quarter of 2020, the Company recorded impairment and other charges that included $5.7 million in costs to finalize the disposal of its former sand facility that was part of pressure pumping. The disposal was related to the plan that the Company implemented on October 28, 2019 to adjust its operating strategy in response to the decline in customer activities. Of the recorded charges, $4.1 million had a cash impact.
