On November 27, 2012, Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing preliminary, unaudited financial results for the three and twelve months ended September 30, 2012 and the initiation of a Phase I clinical trial for AVP-786 (the “Press Release”). A copy of the Press Release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
