Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) also recorded losses, but remained above the key $3,000 mark this morning.
Injective (CRYPTO: INJ) was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Nervos Network (CRYPTO: CKB) turned out to be the biggest loser.
U.S. initial jobless claims came in unchanged from the previous week at 212,000 for the week ending April 18, down from market expectations of 215,000.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $2.26 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 0.7%. BTC was trading lower by 0.6% at $62,482 while ETH fell by around 0.7% to $3,037 on Thursday.
