Item 8.01 Other Events
On March 13, 2012, Asta Funding, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.02 per share. The dividend is payable on May 1, 2012 to stockholders of record at the close of business on March 23, 2012.
The press release announcing the declaration of the dividend is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated by reference in its entirety into this Item 8.01.
