On November 13, 2008, T. Michael Young resigned from the Emeritus Corporation Board of Directors in order to devote more time to his business and investment activities. Mr. Young served as a director of Emeritus since April 2004 and was a member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees, as well as the Special Committee of Independent Directors.
On November 13, 2008, the Emeritus Board of Directors appointed Richard Macedonia as a Class II Director of the Company, to serve until the next annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Macedonia will serve on the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees, as well as Special Committee of Independent Directors.
