On July 31, 2009, the Board of Directors of Emeritus Corporation (the “Company”) promoted Chris Hyatt to Senior Vice President—Operations. Mr. Hyatt joined the Company in 1998 and has worked in various roles throughout his tenure including Regional Director of Operations and Divisional Director of Operations. Most recently, Mr. Hyatt served as Vice President of Operations for the Company’s Southeast Division. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hyatt worked in the acute care industry and has over 17 years of experience in the healthcare field. Mr. Hyatt’s responsibilities will include management of the Divisional Vice Presidents – Operations, the purchasing department and the operations development department.
