Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 22, 2014, the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (the “Authority”) issued a press release announcing that the Authority has commenced (i) a solicitation of consents to amend the indenture governing the Authority’s 9.75% Senior Notes due 2021 and (ii) a tender offer to purchase for cash any and all of the Authority’s 11% Senior Subordinated Notes due 2018 and a related consent solicitation. A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
