The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority d/b/a Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (“MGE”) is governed by a nine-member Management Board, whose members also comprise the Mohegan Tribal Council (the “Tribal Council”), the governing body of the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut (the “Tribe”). Any change in the composition of the Tribal Council results in a corresponding change in MGE’s Management Board. The registered voters of the Tribe elect all members of the Tribal Council.
On December 8, 2019, a special election of the Tribe was held on to fill a vacancy on the Tribal Council. As previously announced, this special election was determined to be defective, the results were vacated, and a new special general election was ordered.
On March 15, 2020, the Mohegan Tribe conducted this new special election, and the winner of the election was Kenneth Davison. Mr. Davison is expected to be seated on March 25, 2020 and will serve out the remainder of a previously vacated Tribal Council seat, which expires in October 2021. MGE is not aware of any material related transactions between Mr. Davison and MGE.
