Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 1, 2013, Medivation and Astellas Pharma Inc. issued a press release announcing that the companies have established an updated interim analysis plan for the PREVAIL trial, a global Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating XTANDI® (enzalutamide) capsules in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who have not yet received chemotherapy. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is also incorporated herein by reference.
