Item 8.01. Other Events.
E*TRADE Financial Corporation announces that Lou Klobuchar, formerly the President of the Company’s Financial Services Division, has retired, effective Monday, March 14, 2005. Mr. Klobuchar reported to Jarrett Lilien, the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, as a member of Mr. Lilien’s team. With Mr. Klobuchar’s retirement, Mr. Lilien will continue his overall responsibility for execution of the Company’s retail strategy without interruption.
