Options to purchase 0.6 million shares and 0.2 million shares were not included in the computation of diluted earnings per share for the nine months ending September 30, 2003 and 2004, respectively, because the exercise prices of the options were greater than the average market price of the common shares during those periods.
The convertible junior subordinated debentures are convertible in 4.6 million shares of common stock and are not included in the computation of diluted earnings per share because the effect would be antidilutive.
