Significant Accounting Policies [Text Block]	NOTE 3 SUMMARY OF SIGNFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES Basis of presentation The Company’s consolidated financial statements have been prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (“US GAAP”) and the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). Principles of consolidation The consolidated financial statements include the accounts of Atrinsic, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary, Protagenic Acquisition Corp, and Protagenic Therapeutics, Inc., which merged with and into Protagenic Acquisition Corp, on February 12, 2016, Use of estimates The preparation of consolidated financial statements in conformity with US GAAP requires management to make estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and disclosure of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the consolidated financial statements and the reported amounts of revenue and expense during the reporting period. Actual results could differ from those estimates. Significant estimates underlying the consolidated financial statements include the allocation of the fair value of acquired assets and liabilities associated with the Merger, income tax provisions, impairment of goodwill, valuation of stock options and warrants and assessment of deferred tax asset valuation allowance. Concentrations of Credit Risk The Company maintains its cash accounts at financial institutions which are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC").
