CB&I Reports Second Quarter 2009 Results
THE WOODLANDS, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 2009--CB&I (NYSE:CBI) today reported net income of $43.4 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2009, compared with a loss of ($140.5 million), or ($1.47) per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2008. Revenue for the quarter was $1.2 billion compared with second quarter 2008 revenue of $1.4 billion. New awards for the quarter totaled $428.9 million. CB&I's recently announced $530 million GASCO project will be included in third quarter new awards. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $116.0 million as of June 30, up from $88.2 million at year-end 2008.
