Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
(e) James W. Jacobson and Luminex Corporation (the “Company”) have entered into an employment agreement effective September 30, 2007 (the “Employment Agreement”) whereby Mr. Jacobson will serve as Scientific Advisor to the Company. The Company will pay Mr. Jacobson an annual salary of $225,500.00 during the term of the Employment Agreement, which expires on September 30, 2008. The Employment Agreement replaces Mr. Jacobson’s prior employment agreement with the Company.
The Employment Agreement is attached hereto asExhibit 10.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The foregoing description of the Employment Agreement does not purport to be complete and is qualified in its entirety by reference to the complete text of the Employment Agreement.
