On February 24, 2012, the Board of Directors of Shore Bancshares, Inc. received a letter fromJerry F. Pierson pursuant to which he notified the Board of his desire to retire from the Board and, accordingly, that he will not stand for re-election as a director at the 2012 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. Pierson’s retirement will be effective at the close of the 2012 annual meeting of stockholders.
