Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On January 3, 2006, we announced the sale of our LED and LED display product lines to Everlight International Corporation, a US subsidiary of Everlight Electronics Company, Ltd., of Taiwan. Further information is included in our press release included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated herein by reference.
Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 29, 2005, we agreed to settle a lawsuit filed against us and three of our distributors by Alcatel Canada Inc. in May 2004. The financial impact of the settlement is accounted for within our stated reserves for potential settlement losses in connection with this and other customer claims relating to certain of our products incorporating defective mold compound, which we sold through 2001.
