Solutia, Inc. (“Solutia” or the “Company”) has recast its consolidated financial statements for all periods presented to reflect (i) the Company’s retrospective application of the presentation of noncontrolling interests as provided by Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (“SFAS”) No. 160, Noncontrolling Interests in Consolidated Financial Statements, an Amendment of ARB No. 51, which was adopted by the Company on January 1, 2009, and (ii) presentation of the Company’s Integrated Nylon business as discontinued operations in accordance with the terms of the definitive sale agreement between the Company and S.K. Capital Partners II, L.P., which was entered into on March 31, 2009. These changes were previously reflected in the Company’s most recent Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 that was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 7, 2009.

Information in the 2008 Form 10-K is generally stated as of December 31, 2008 and this filing does not reflect any subsequent information or events other than the adoption of SFAS No. 160 and the recast of the Integrated Nylon business’ presentation as discontinued operations in accordance with the terms of the definitive sale agreement between the Company and S.K. Capital.
