Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 8, 2011, RealNetworks, Inc. (the "Company") announced that it will reduce its workforce by about 130 employees, or approximately 10% of its worldwide employee base. The Company expects to record restructuring charges of approximately $3 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 and anticipates approximately $11 million in annualized cost savings due to the reduction in workforce.
The Company’s press release announcing the reduction in workforce is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
