On January 29, 2010, American Stock Transfer and Trust Company, as the Administrator of the Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation 2009 Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan (the “Plan”), mailed a letter (the “Letter”) to all participants in the Plan notifying them of a change to the discount offered on Optional Small Cash Purchase Investments (as that term is defined in the Plan). A copy of the Letter is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
