This report is being filed by Credit Suisse Group AG and Credit Suisse to be incorporated by reference in Post-Effective Amendment No. 1 to their Registration Statement on Form F-3 (file no. 333-132936).
On August 13, 2008, the United Kingdom's Financial Services Authority (UKFSA) issued a Final Notice concluding that our subsidiaries, Credit Suisse International and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, breached its Principles for Business as a result of the mismarks and pricing errors of certain asset backed securities in the structured products business within our Investment Banking division. In particular, these subsidiaries were found to have breached Principle 2 requiring a firm to conduct its business with due skill, care and diligence and Principle 3 requiring a firm to take reasonable care to organize and control its affairs responsibly and effectively, with adequate risk management systems. These subsidiaries agreed to accept a £ 5.6 million fine. These mismarks and pricing errors and the related remediation plan were previously disclosed.
