On November 9, 2005, Omega Protein Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting that it has filed a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission in order to extend the filing due date for its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the third quarter ended September 30, 2005.
